"There’s a sense of cyclical inevitability to Chestnut Collection. Chord progressions float away and return to the root, in the same way that summer always follows spring, and day follows night. You can hear that knowledge reflected in C.C. mastermind Cora Anne Glass’ music – as she strums away, there’s a quiet simplicity that sucks you in, makes you feel the passing of the seasons.
